Ellen Pliskin is a native of New York City, studied Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts and received degrees from Hunter College and Fordham University. Pliskin has shown extensively in the United States and as part of the United States Department of State, "Art in Embassies Program", her works have been exhibited at U.S. Embassies in Turkmenistan, Gabon, Tanzania, Paraguay and Burkino-Faso. Her works are in the permanent collections of Pfizer Inc, The United States Department of State, HIP NY, The University of New Mexico and The Federal Reserve Board.
I am an artist who uses layers of color to suggest real objects and places. The areas of colors flow into each other and flood the entire sheet of paper whether it is a still life, landscape or figure.
