Diane Churchill lives in Nyack, NY, a NYAC member in NYACK!, with a studio in West Garnerville in the lower Hudson River Valley. Early training includes a degree in Art History from Wellesley College and an MA in Painting from Hunter, as well as years at the now defunct Brooklyn Museum Art School.
She exhibits mostly in New York City and Rockland County and has had a longtime association with Soho 20 Gallery with many solo and group exhibits . Currently she is exhibiting at the Blue Arts and Cultural Center in Pearl River in a show titled “Color/Coleur.”
Artists’ residencies have taken her to India, Gowry Foundation, Spain, Valparaiso, and France, the Karolyi Foundation, as well as Yaddo and Soaring Gardens in the US.
Travel has provided inspiration for her work as well as every aspect of nature and an ever growing parade of artist favorites.
Now retired, she taught art to children at Fieldston School for many years and raised a family of two daughters who are her pride.
